Day 5: Sun 18 Sep - Seville
20-32 deg C
Walk: 4.8km
Had a fairly ordinary sleep, but managed to sleep in until 4:30am, when I made myself another luke-warm coffee. Sylvain has advised me to not have any more, as hot water systems are havens for nasty bugs that can make you very ill, or sometimes even kill. So, no more early morning coffee for me.
After breakfast, I did some more MEPS stuff (timetable/movements stuff) before going back downstairs to get another coffee. Chloe was there finishing off her breakfast, so I stopped and we chatted for a while.
More MEPS stuff and blogging, then it was time for lunch before getting glammed up for the Congress Opening Ceremony. As with previous years, it was a later than 3pm start, and the ceremony ended up being almost three hours long instead of two. That meant that about half of the audience left at 5pm afraid they would miss out on the free food and drinks at the Welcome Reception. Of course, there was plenty to go around and no-one from our group went home hungry nor thirsty. The regular MEPS members had great time catching up with each other again after three years, and meeting and getting to know new friends. A good night was had by all. Whilst a number of members staying at my hotel elected to taxi home, Chloe and I walked.
Sunrise from my room, you can see where the airport is all the contrails in the sky
